El Médano

El Médano is the most tourist resort of Granadilla de Abona, in Tenerife and is formed by the urban centers of El Medano, Arenas de Mar, El Cabezo, El Topo and Ensenada Pelada. Although the protected natural area of Montaña Pelada stands out in its population, its most visited and visited point is its popular Leocadio Machado beach, which on the island is known as Playa de el Médano. Due to its geographical location, its coasts are often strongly windswept, which makes it an ideal location for windsurfing and kitesurfing.
