La Aldea de San Nicolás

The Aldea de San Nicolás is located west of the island of Gran Canaria, a town that stands out for its traditional Canarian architecture and for its archaeological sites. Going through its municipal district we can visit the Complejo Arqueológico de los Caserones where some aboriginal pieces were found and where you can visit the Funeral Tomb of the Loin of the Caserones strong>.

For the good hiker, it is possible to walk along the paths that cross the Parques del Roque del Nublo, the Tamadaba Natural Park, the Integral Natural Reserve of Inagua, and the Special Natural Reserve of Güi Güi, parks all of which are part of this municipality.

The Village of San Nicolás has in its urban center traditional Canarian houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, such as the Casa del Balcón or the House of the Corridor. Of all these ancestral traditions are staged in the Living Museum, very popular in the village.
