Patalavaca , Arguineguin

Arguineguín is one of the most important tourist centers in the south of Gran Canaria, and the most important town of Mogán, municipality to which it belongs.

As a fishing village it still retains part of its original essence, even though the proliferation of hotel establishments is changing its economy towards tourism. Even so, it is more than advisable to go to the fishing port and check its still intense traditional life, or to the Fishermen's Guild to try a homemade fish dish at one of its tables.

Today, however, what attracts Arguineguín is its coast lined with cliffs between which is leaving magnificent beaches. This is the whole coast of Mogán, where there are, among others, the popular beaches of Amadores, Puerto Rico, Anfi del Mar or the also recognizable Patalavaca.

Patalavaca is linked to Arguineguín by a promenade, where you can find different restaurants and supermarkets. Its beach, with dark sand and not too big, is surrounded by cliffs, which protects it from the wind.
