The municipality to which the capital of Fuerteventura belongs, Puerto del Rosario, is located in the central part of the island, in an area that has a coastline to the west as to the east. The village of Puerto del Rosario is a still young city, with barely 200 years of history behind it, but with an interesting commercial and tourist life. Its warm desert climate allows you to enjoy magnificent temperatures almost all year round, which makes this destination an ideal place to enjoy, above all, its beaches.
A little less than a kilometer from the urban center is Playa Blanca, a beach 800 meters long and fine white sand. In Puerto del Rosario there is a wide cultural offer that begins with its auditorium, the oldest in Fuerteventura, and continues through its various museums and exhibition halls, such as Unamuno House Museum.
It also has a very interesting sculptural park with more than 50 works. Before leaving, do not forget to visit the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, which dates from 1824.
