Barranco de Telde

At about 10 kilometers from Telde there are several natural areas of outstanding wealth, one of the most incredible is the Barranco de Telde. The ravine has a dimension of approximately 12 kilometers, along the same and during all seasons of the year follows the course of a river whose waters run through the gorges creating waterfalls and waterfalls of great scenic value.

The Barranco de Telde has a wealth of flora and fauna. Focusing on the flora throughout the natural environment you can see tajinastes, salvias, lavenders, ejeques, malvas, bicácaros, cruzadillas, malfuradas, watercress, culantrinos and many other species. Regarding the fauna that inhabits this ravine, it is worth mentioning some raptors such as the common kestrel, reptiles, amphibians, pintos, capirotes, rodents and many other animals that give good account of the importance of the ravine.

In the area there is also the Barranco de los Cernícalos, a protected area of great beauty and very visited thanks to the hiking routes that can be done in all the natural environment.
