One of the most prominent neighborhoods and pride of the municipality of San Juan de la Rambla is the Barrio de los Quevedos. This part of the population was declared Asset of Cultural Interest in 2008 and consists of around a fortnight of constructions that are the maximum exponent of traditional Canarian architecture. Specifically, the buildings that are in the neighborhood have the characteristic patterns of rural architecture in the north of the island of Tenerife.
In general, the buildings that are present have rectangular floors with thick basaltic masonry walls with one or two floors and are usually reinforced by wedges or shingles.
Some of the buildings are also finished off at the corners with stone blocks, to provide greater stability to the structure.
The two-storey houses have an external wooden and / or masonry staircase that gives access to the upper part. A very recommended neighborhood to be able to know the Canarian architecture in its maximum splendor.

The volcanic origin of the Canarian archipelago makes much of the coast of the island very rugged and creates curious shapes that give rise to natural pools that serve to enjoy the waters of the Atlantic. This route of natural pools offers the most interesting of Tenerife.
The Atlantic leaves frequent lagoons in the Canarian coast forming authentic natural pools, ideal to bathe in calm waters next to a generally rough sea. These are the main natural pools that are scattered around the Canary Islands.
