The population of Tinajo has some of the most interesting trekking routes on the island of Lanzarote, one of the most interesting is a route that goes up to Caldera de los Cuervos. The spot that can be seen in the Volcano of the Crows is a fusion of volcanic ash and impressive mantle of badlands and as a result is a Martian vision.

Once you have reached the caldera, the varied palette of tonalities drawn by the volcano draws your attention, where blacks, ochres and fire red are the protagonists.

In the Caldera de los Cuervos was the place where the Timanfaya eruptions began, according to experts it was back in 1730 and they were active for 6 years. that caused a third of the island to be covered by materials emitted by the volcano.

Various historians affirm that the Caldera de los Cuervos was the first volcano to open forming a huge mountain, 10 villages were buried.
