About Casa de la Viuda
In the historic center of the town of Buenavista del Norte is one of the most emblematic buildings in the area, known as Casa de la Viuda. It is a clear example of Canarian domestic architecture dating from the second half of the seventeenth century. The house is divided into two floors, highlight the wooden corridors topped by a simple coffered ceiling, central courtyard and old hall. The numerous rooms attest to the dimensions of the House of the Widow.
The exterior of the house is also very characteristic with the roof with a hipped roof and Arabic tiles, also it is very interesting the stones that finish off the corners of the facade.
Currently the House of the Widow is dedicated to cultural, artistic and social activities.
