About Conjunto Histórico de Arona

Arona is a municipality belonging to the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, on the island of Tenerife -Canarias, Spain-. The administrative capital is located in the town of Arona, located at 630 meters above sea level. Although the municipal capital is in the midlands, greater economic and population importance have Valley of San Lorenzo, with an agricultural activity of export, and especially the coastal sector. The tourist populations - Beach of the Americas, Los Cristianos, Costa del Silencio, Palm-Mar ...- have substantially transformed the littoral area, being also the point of embarkation for the island of La Gomera. Arona is the third most populous municipality of the island of Tenerife, after Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
