About Cueva de los Verdes
Surrounded by a special aura, with a certain mythological air and where the legend mixes with reality we can visit in Haría la Cueva de los Verdes. These caves are one of the most outstanding natural shows of Lanzarote, with a unique beauty, was formed following an eruption of the Volcano of the Crown.
The Cave of the Greens was used as a hiding place when attacks or pirate invasions took place during the centuries XVI and XVII. Already in the century XIX the cave was a must for travelers and experts who, attracted by the beauty of their formations, tried to investigate how capricious nature had created such structures.
The unique beauty of the Cueva de los Verdes caused the Cabildo de Tenerife to commission Jesús Soto to adapt the caves and be able to perform activities inside.
As you enter its interior, you enter a volcanic tunnel that is 6 kilometers long. There is a part that was conditioned as an auditorium that is perfectly integrated into the cave, it also has a part called the esthetes room, the throat of death or the door of the mulberry.
The cave of the greens has a series of galleries connected to each other and perfectly conditioned to be able to visit it.
