Faro de Teno

On the island of Tenerife there are 7 beacons that mark the coast, one of which is the Faro del Punta del Teno. What most attracts the attention of lighthouse is its location, a quiet place, practically isolated and in a breathtaking spot in the northeastern part of Tenerife. The wild situation of the lighthouse, belongs to Buenavista del Norte, in the high part of cliffs within what is known as rural park Punta de Teno.

The lighthouse tower has a cylindrical shape and is striking for its red and white stripes, built in concrete in the 70s next to the old lighthouse that it replaced.

The Punta del Teno Rural Park has a size of about 8,063 and is considered one of the most curious natural spaces on the island, and thanks to its isolated nature, interesting remains have been preserved. ecological and cultural values.

The Rural Park in which the Teno Lighthouse is located, contains several municipal areas, El Palmar, Teno Alto, La Laguneta, Las Portelas, Los Carrizales, Masca and Erjos.

It is the most western point of Tenerife, it has spectacular cliffs, numerous dikes, pythons and many other natural elements formed from the volcanic nature of the island.
