About Fuga de la Caleta
The Escape from La Caleta is a natural environment found in Los Silos in the municipality of Garachico, in the northern part of the i sla de Tenerife. A fall of water that when the heaviest rains fall on the area forms a postcard of great beauty. This waterfall falls from the Barranco Correa and runs along the wall of the Protected Area of Acantilados de La Culata.
To access the impressive natural environment of La Fuga de La Caleta you must visit the Camino Viejo de La Caleta, also known by the name of Barranco Hondo or through the road of Tierra del Trigo.
Access to the Escape from La Caleta is not signposted, so it can be a bit difficult to access and you must pass a private property but it is well worth it to get there. Close to La Fuga there is an old stone staircase that the passage of time has left almost demolished and for which one must be careful when climbing. A little known place that keeps a wonderful beauty as well as being a Site of Scientific Interest.
