Masca

In the northeastern part of the island of Tenerife you will find one of the most beautiful and picturesque spots in the whole Canary archipelago, Masca. If in doubt, it is one of the most spectacular spots on the island, an impressive valley, surrounded by imposing cliffs that reach the cliffs of Los Gigantes.

To get to one of the most beautiful points of Tenerife you have to follow a winding road between impressive ravines, but it is well worth reaching this beautiful village. Once there, the Massif of Teno, one of the three formations that gave rise to the island of Tenerife and which can be spotted from Masca, draws our attention.

It is highly recommended to do the descent of the Masca ravine, one of the most outstanding natural spectacles of the island, the walls that surround the whole path, the natural space and the arrival until the same cliff of Los Gigantes, are more than enough reasons to enjoy Masca.

In Masca you can see a series of traditional houses, as well as craft stalls. Noteworthy is the Casa de los Avinculados,, which is the oldest building in the area. Legend has it that the Masca ravine was a refuge for pirates, which gives a more interesting aura to this picturesque place.
