Mirador de Lomo Negro

The Mirador Lomo Negro is located on the island of El Hierro, in the vicinity of what was the Lomo Negr volcano, or, at the end of The western ridge in a field of lava, is what you can see from this impressive viewpoint.

The Mirador Lomo Negro is one of the least known of the island of El Hierro, maybe that will make it even more charming, also the surroundings have hiking areas to explore and enjoy some fantastic places.

The yellow rocks that can be seen from the viewpoint contrast with the dark tones of the materials that surround it, further enhancing the volcanic dimension of this part of the island of El Iron is also testimony to an eruption in which seawater came into contact with magma. The yellow arises from the rapid cooling of the lava, in addition to forming annular structures in the rock and which are manifested in horizontal lines of the strata that can be seen.
