About Molino de Gofio del Risco de las Pencas
In San Juan de la Rambla you can find one of the most outstanding, most interesting and most representative monuments of the history of the island, it is the Molino de Gofio del> Risco de las Pencas, also known by the names of Molino de Ruiz, Molino de la Grieta or Molino de Pico de the Crack. This mill was a hydraulic installation that was used to grind gofio and is located on the left side of the ravine Ruiz, in the municipality of San Juan of the Rambla.
Adjacent to the Mill is the La Vera district and a large natural rock of cylindrical shape known as Roque del Molino or Risco de las Pencas that gets its name from the many branches that populate it. The good conservation of the Mill helped him to be declared in 2007 Asset of Cultural Interest with category of Ethnological Center. The building is formed by two buildings with walls of tuff blocks in reddish tone and masonry. The main construction houses the machine that served for grinding, with a four-sided roof. A series of performances has restored the mill to turn it into an attractive tourist attraction.

This is a route that leads through the most mysterious places of Tenerife. Places that tell past legends that remain in the memory of the Canary Islands since ancient times, or that contain events that are difficult to explain. Ghost stories, Marian apparitions, strange lights or UFO sightings ...
The volcanic origin of the Canarian archipelago makes much of the coast of the island very rugged and creates curious shapes that give rise to natural pools that serve to enjoy the waters of the Atlantic. This route of natural pools offers the most interesting of Tenerife.
The Atlantic leaves frequent lagoons in the Canarian coast forming authentic natural pools, ideal to bathe in calm waters next to a generally rough sea. These are the main natural pools that are scattered around the Canary Islands.
