Monumento Natural de las Montañas de Ifara y Los Riscos

The natural monument of the Mountain of Ifara and Los Riscos is located in the municipal area of Granadilla de Abona. This monument is made up of 2 volcanic cones that stand out in a unique way, among volcanic landscapes very characteristic of the south of the island.

Associated with these two volcanic cones are also others in the area of great geomorphological and geological interest that is associated with the phenomenon of volcanism that is so important in Tenerife.

The flora that can be found along the 288 hectares of the Monument of Ifara and Los Riscos is dominated by tabaibas and cardones for the most part. You can also see certain fauna, mainly birds such as the common pigeon, the kestrel, warblers and the curlews among other species. Also worth mentioning are invertebrates such as the longicorn beetle, an endemic species.
