Oasis Park

The Oasis Park Fuerteventura houses a zoo and a botanical garden of the largest in the Canary archipelago. The extension of the park exceeds 780,000 square meters and is located in La Lajita which belongs to the municipality of Pájara in the south of Fuerteventura.

This impressive park was inaugurated in 1985 and was originally created for the captive breeding of dromedaries but with the passage of time has been acquiring different species reaching more than 6800 of all the continents.

In the Oasis Park Fuerteventura facilities it is possible to find species of the African Savannah, installation of otters, the aforementioned reserve of dromedaries , sea lions, lake with flamingos, giraffes, African elephants, geese, birds of prey, a kind of Madagascar tunnel for lemurs, reptiles, parrots, meerkats and many other animals.

It is possible to see shows of sea lions, raptors, reptiles among others or interact with elephants, camels or lemurs.

It also has a botanical garden with more than 3000 species of cactus, large collection of palm trees, cactus garden, gardens with native flora, another one of dragon trees, even a greenhouse with the most exotic orchids.

The objective of Oasis Park Fuerteventura is conservation, education and research in collaboration with Spanish universities.
