About Parque Nacional de Garajonay

The Garajonay National Park covers an area that exceeds 10% of the island of La Gomera. It was declared as such in 1981. Subsequently, in 1986, Unesco included it among the assets that are part of the World Heritage. The park is also since 2012 Biosphere Reserve together with the whole island.

With this route it is proposed to visit the main places of the Garajonay National Park. To do this, we start in Agulo, in order to be able to go first to the Game Information Center for Balls, where we will have a first perspective of the Park. The route will start from there, along the western part of Garajonay, with views of Vallehermoso, and through the Laguna Grande, always in the direction of Alto de Garajonay. Then we will descend by the east side, towards the Bailadero and the Hermitages of Lourdes and Our Lady of Guadalupe, before taking the road towards San Sebastián de la Gomera.

The National Park of the Caldera de Taburiente, finally, is located in La Palma and is formed by a circus of 8 kms. of diameter in the form of boiler.
