Playa de los Pocillos

The Playa de los Pocillos in Puerto del Carmen in the municipality of Tias is one of the most interesting beaches in Lanzarote. The first thing that stands out is the long stretch of golden sand that is covered when the tide rises or falls, but the curious thing is that it is covered by a thin layer of salt water that gives rise to the curious marshes of the Puerto del Carmen.

Especially should be seen in the first weeks of September when the phenomenon of the tides of the pine, which floods the Playa de los Pocillos giving rise to these marshes. It is a well-known beach for lovers of windsurfing where fans of this sport come to take advantage of the winds that sometimes dominate the beach.

The Playa de los Pocillos has a length of approximately one kilometer, it has a playground for children, a hammock and parasol service as well as terraces and chiringuitos where you can enjoy the typical delicacies of Lanzarote.
