About Playa Famara
The Famara Beach is located on the island of Lanzarote, an impressive beach of about 6 kilometers. This beach is protected by the Peña del Chache of 670 meters of altitude, an imposing cliff that looks majestic from the sand of this beach.
From the beach it is possible to see the Islands of La Graciosa, the Island of Alegranza, Montaña Clara and Roque del Oeste, which are islands of the Chinijo Archipelago .
The beach has strong currents so you have to be careful when taking a bath. The prevailing winds are the trade winds, which makes this beach become a perfect setting for windsurfers or kitesurfers, the wideness of the sand makes it possible for both bathers and lovers of this sport to coexist perfectly.
The Playa de Famara attracts a lot of attention, both at high tide and at low tide, but when it falls, large puddles of calm and shallow waters form, which bring much more beauty to the place.
