The Protected Landscape of Las Lagunetas in Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain) constitutes a montane and wooded area of remarkable value, which plays an important role in the maintenance of the underground aquifer and in the conservation of soils. It houses large pine forests and also outstanding transition communities with the monteverde (laurisilva and fayal-brezal). Among its flora stand out certain endemic species threatened and protected by regional regulations.
