Cueva de Bencomo
The popularly known as Cueva de Bencomo is a natural cave located on the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain), which was identified by researchers as the dwelling of Guanche Bencomo, penultimate Mencey of Taoro.
It is located in the Barranco del Pino, in the vicinity of the Humboldt viewpoint between the municipalities of Santa Úrsula and La Orotava.
However, the controversy over whether or not it was Bencomo's home was among the experts.
The cave was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1986.
