Located on the island of Tenerife, El Teide is a volcano that has an altitude of 3,718 meters above sea level (7,500 meters above the Atlantic bed), thus constituting the highest mountain high of Spain.

It is also the third largest volcano behind the Hawaiian volcanoes Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.

El Teide is located within the Cañadas del Teide National Park, considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 2007. It is also recognized as a Natural Monument within the Teide-Pico Viejo volcanic complex that constitutes only this volcano but also other minor ones.

From the tourist point of view, the Teide National Park is the most visited National Park not only in our country, but also in Europe, as well as being the second most visited in the world.

In the southern part of the island, in Granadilla de Abona there is a natural coastal area called Reserva Especial Especial de Montaña Roja. This unique space is perfectly recognizable, in an area of steep little coast and dominated by a flat land you can see an impressive red hill. 166 hectares of inorganic sands and wetlands where you can see some protected birds, such as the black-footed plover but also others such as the curlew, sandpiper, or redshank and many more. There is also a fairly rich invertebrate fauna, many of them endemic.

The flora of the area is also rich, although there are up to 136 species of plants, some of them are threatened. Highlights the balancón, lechetreznas, melera or thirtynudos. The volcano of the red mountain has an altitude of 171 meters and was formed after an eruption on the coast that was joined to the island by a series of volcanic materials.

It should also be noted that the Montaña Roja is surrounded by a certain air of legend, is one of the places where, according to testimonies, objects have been spotted that UFO experts believe could be UFOs.

In addition to the tourist interest that gives that part of Granadilla de Abona, you can also enjoy an excellent swim in the area, where the beach of La Tejita<.

Los Gigantes is one of the most impressive and impressive Tenerife points. Los Gigantes are located on the west coast of the island of Tenerife, this natural area is an impressive cliff that can reach up to 600 meters in altitude. The curious shapes that can be seen in this particular place are the result of the millenary erosion on volcanic territory. Due to the type of material deposited in this area the wind and water for hundreds of years has been shaping the terrain resulting in elevations that are reminiscent of the Sagrada Familia.

Undoubtedly the Lunar Landscape of Granadilla is one of the most peculiar landscapes that can be found not only in the municipality, but throughout the archipelago.

It is a rock formation in the shape of a crater, it is called "El Rayo" because it seems as if a lightning bolt fell in that place although it is probably caused by the collapse of a cave. It is very close to the Buenavista lighthouse. You have to leave the vehicle next to the lighthouse and follow the path to the right bordering the sea, about 100 meters approx. you find this curious place.

A few kilometers from the center of Santa Cruz de Tenerife it is possible to enter a Rural Park which will make visitors not to believe they are on an island, it is Anaga Rural Park or Anaga Massif.

The Anaga Massif and the entire environment is declared Biosphere Reserve in 2015 thanks to the fact that it is the point of Europa Cruz del Carmen, and in the southwest direction. Anaga hosts the peaks of bichuelo, Anambro, Chinobre, Limbing Peak, English Peak, Cruz de Taborno and Cruz del Carmen.

The macizo is the most humid part of Tenerife, which has favored the existence of a diversity of natural habitats, among which the laurisilva stands out. An important part of the Anaga Massif made it partially protected in 1987 and in 1994 it was protected in its entirety by the Law of Natural Spaces of the Canary Islands.

A very interesting place to enjoy nature just a few minutes from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with rest areas and a network of interesting routes.

In Adeje is located one of the most beautiful natural environments of this part of the island, it is the Adeje Massif and the Reserva Especial Especial Barranco From Hell, these points are both an area of geomorphological interest but also botanical and faunal.

In the Adeje Massif there is a point where you can see a waterfall that springs from Roque Abinque, you can also see hanging dragon trees on cliffs and other elements of great ecological value.

The Adeje Massif is located at the southern end of the island of Tenerife and where the highest point is the Roque del Conde with an altitude of about 1001 meters above sea level. According to the experts the Adeje Massif has the denomination of Old Relief, since that occurs when the fragmentation of the structure is important and the relevance on the surrounding terrain is not enough.

The part of the Adeje Massif is the oldest area of the island, rocks that can date back more than 11 million years and are linked to the south wall of the Cañadas del Teide.
