The Integral Natural Reserve of Ijuana in Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain) forms a protected landscape characterized by steep ravines separated by very steep peaks, from which some isolated pythons arise. 6. Monumento Natural de la Caldera del Rey

The Montaña de Guaza Natural Monument is a protected area located in the municipality of Arona, south of the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). Declared Natural Area of National Interest in 1987, in 1994 it was reclassified as a Natural Monument. The protected zone comprises 725.7 ha, being constituted fundamentally by the Montaña de Guaza, one of the most representative exogenous volcanic domes of the island and by the lava flows derived from its eruption, it limits to the west with the tourist resort of Los Cristianos, to the east with the town of Guaza and the urbanization the Palm-Mar, to the north with the road that joins Los Cristianos with Guaza and to the south with the sea. In this place pre-Hispanic remains have been found in the form of caves, remains of ancient cabins and burials. It has been discovered that the antiquity of this natural monument is a maximum of 3.5 million years and a minimum of 0.67 million years.

Ifonche is one of the most important protected areas of the Island of Tenerife. This place, known by the name of Protected Landscape of Ifonche, is located in the southern part of Tenerife where you can find natural elements such as volcanic and anthropic cones such as scattered farmhouses and some crops. This natural area is within the municipal area of Adeje and Vilaflor and has dimensions that exceed 774 hectares.

In Ifonche you can find a wide variety of elements, including Roque de Imoque, Heather or the nearby escarpments of Barranco del Infierno. It is also important to talk about the vegetation that can be found throughout the place, among which stands out the pine forest and the populations of marigold, Calendula Arvensis, which are typical of fallow crops.

There is also a variety of fauna, such as endemic butterflies and birds that nest in the area.

The Landscape of Ifonche also offers other charms, as elements of great ernographic value such as constructions linked to the rural world: traditional stone houses, ditches or water channels, galleries, terraces or a pretérita era of stone where the cereals were threshed to obtain the grain.
