3. Chorros de Epina

La Gomera is full of charming places, picturesque places full of legend, we have the example of the Jets of Epina, a fountain that is in full Garajonay Natural Park in Vallehermoso.

The origin of the Chorros de Epina has a halo of mysticism and legend, it is located in an impressive place surrounded by nature, it has even been said that the waters emanating from their pipes have benefits for fortune and love.

Legend has it that there was a time when the waters that came out of the pipes was miraculous. Another of the powers granted was that they could decipher the secrets of destiny and show the way of love.

When the Beñesmén party was being held, the youngest women, who were already married, went to the jets to see their face reflected in the water, if they kept calm and Clara wanted to say that love would come soon, but if on the contrary it looked cloudy it was a sign of lack of love.

Currently Chorros de Epina consists of 7 wooden pipes, according to the legend men must drink from left to right in the odd pipes, while women also from left to right but in even pipes.

In the heart of the island of La Gomera is the Alto de Garajonay, another of those beauty-laden places located in the northern part of La Gomera, in the municipality of Vallehermoso. The Alto de Garajonay is a watchtower from where you can enjoy stunning night views of the sky, the absence of light pollution allows you to enjoy the universe and perfectly distinguish the constellations.

El Alto is located at an altitude of 1487 meters above sea level and it is possible to see from here the island of La Palma, El Hierro and Tenerife Island of Gran Canaria.

The curious situation of the Alto de Garajonay in Vallehermoso has meant that this point of La Gomera is wrapped in a certain halo of magic, traces can be observed of sacrifices of pre-Hispanic origin. At one time it was known as El Bailadero because it was believed to be a meeting place for witches.

Up to Alto de Garajonay can be reached by car or by walking through the multitude of paths that run along the island and reach this point.

5. Monumento Natural de Los Órganos

The nature is tremendously capricious and fruit of that whim in La Gomera is possible to see some cliffs whose shape resembles the tubes of a giant organ, this natural wonder receives the unmistakable name of The Organs. As if it were a huge stone organ it was The Organs are located in the municipality of Vallehermoso, you have dimensions of 200 meters long by 80 high and are impressive basalt columns that form the wall of a cliff. It is only possible to see this natural wonder through the sea, so it is necessary to board a boat and navigate to this impressive place.

Actually, these structures that resemble organs are a mass of magma that did not rise to the surface and quickly cooled, causing it to break down in a regular way like the ones you can see. Then the scourge of the sea in the northern part of La Gomera, was in charge of excavating, cutting and sculpting these curious shapes.
