About Casa de Colón
The Casa de Colón is an institution that was created in 1950, the goal of the institution is to investigate and disseminate the history of Canary Islands in your relationships with America. The institution is located in a historic building in the neighborhood of Vegueta in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is created from several houses, currently occupies several mazanas. This location was chosen because it was the former Casa del Gobernador and according to some experts was visited by Christopher Columbus in the stop he made on his first trip in 1482 when you discovered America.
The Casa de Colón has become an important cultural reference on the island, within which there are several rooms that serve as sections and where it is possible to know the funds and services of the institution.
Near the Casa de Colón is the house where Alfredo Kraus was born, with a façade with Gothic decoration flamboyant

Places that seem enchanted, that keep stories that feed on legend and reality, places that are surrounded by a halo of mystery in Gran Canarias
A trip to the history of Gran Canaria, with this route it will be possible to visit the main archaeological sites of the island.
It is clear that there is nothing better than playing by the sea with your furry friend, and luckily in the Canary Islands we have a total of 8 official dog-friendly beaches spread over La Palma, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. What are you waiting to take your colleague to know?
Visit to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on foot in a few hours. Ideal route for those who arrive on a cruise and want to know the city. The route, of about 9 kms., Can take to do it, without stopping too much, about 2 and a half hours, but it can be done more carefully in about 4/5 hours. Once arrived at the last point, the neighborhood of Vegueta, and depending on the time left on the cruise, I recommend taking a taxi to return us to the cruise port.
