Casa de La Portuguesa

The Casa de la Portuguesa is one of the most emblematic constructions that can be found in Santa Úrsula, in the vicinity of El Calvario
The building is a single-storey building, with a section that is formed by three bays articulated to square, with a central courtyard that forms the central body of the house and two secondary bays.

This property is famous and keeps an important value, so much that it is Good of Cultural Interest since 2007 and was acquired by the City Council of the town in 2010 The Casa de la Portuguesa is a construction of British colonial style, a style that few examples are seen in the archipelago. It is noteworthy that it is one of the last vestiges of English influence of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries in the region of Acentejo and of the few examples that remain in the Valley of La Orotava.

The Casa de la Portugues is also known as the Casa Verde and stands out for its curious facade with the main entrance, the wide porch and the arches of wood and four straight feet.

In the interior there is a patio with Arabic type galleries and in the surroundings of the house there is a very interesting garden area.
