About Casona de San Luís
In the municipality of Santa Úrsula is the Plaza de San Luis where you can find three points of interest, the Calvario, the Hermitage of San Luis and the Hacienda or Casona de San Luis.
This important construction was owned by Luis Román, who was a lawyer of the Real Audiencia of the Canarian archipelago, vineyards have been planted in the grounds of the hacienda which was used to make the Malvasia.
The hacienda is also home to the Casona de San Luis, a two-storey building featuring large windows and a hipped roof. It is a house of typical Canarian architecture, with about 220 square meters of floor. Currently this house is used by the municipality as an exhibition center.
La Casona dates from the first half of the 17th century and is right in front of the Ermita de San Luis.
