About Charco del Tacón

Puerto Santiag or one of the most picturesque spots on the island of Tenerife el Charco del Tacón. This coastal population center belongs to Santiago del Teide and is at the foot of the overwhelming cliff of Los Gigantes.

The Charco de El Tacón or cave Tacón is a natural space that is accessed through a cave and an opening between the rocks, by what you can see a natural pool where the waves come in and out of the sea. It is a little known place and a fantastic beauty. Despite being a little sheltered, be careful during the days of strong waves since the water enters in a virulent way and can be dangerous, so it is important to keep caution and dive when the water is calm.
