About Charco del Viento
The Charco del Viento is located in an interesting and beautiful place on the coast of La Guancha. As much of the natural pools, puddles, coves or beaches that you find in Tenerife your training is a whim of the volcanic eruptions that gave rise to the whole archipelago, the contact of the lava with the water and their sudden cooling provide natural puddles. Thanks to this phenomenon, a natural bay was formed with two breakwaters that protect part of the coastline from the virulent beating of the ocean waves.
The Charco del Viento in La Guancha has four natural pools and is the most crowded bathing area in this part of the island, it is possible to enjoy a nice swim while watching El Teide in the background. El Charco is a very suitable place to dive, but you have to be careful if the water is very rough, also ideal for recreational fishing and enjoy unforgettable sunbathing. El Charco del Viento is located in the Santa Catalina neighborhood of La Guancha.
