In Agaete we can see another of the most interesting places offered by this town of Gran Canaria. Known by the name of El Risco, this natural area is about 130 meters high, has a population center of approximately 300 people. The neighborhood of El Risco is in the western part of Agaete, about half an hour from the urban area of the town, of an agricultural and livestock character, it highlights its excellent elaborations from the goat's milk and its constructions of Canarian tradition.
El Risco is also known for the famous Charco Azul, an ideal freshwater pond to enjoy a refreshing swim with a waterfall that highlights the beauty from this lovely natural corner. Formed as a result of the erosive action of the waterfall that falls on the puddle, the surroundings of this place will not disappoint, its waterfalls and its vegetation complete what can be one of the most beautiful places in Agaete
The Risco de Agaete also has hiking trails of not much difficulty, a pleasant walk to know any of the corners of the natural area.
