Ermita del Calvario

One of the pride of the population of Vilaflor is Ermita del Calvario located in the square of the same name. This small temple takes on greater importance and prominence during Semana Santa, when this point becomes one of the busiest places in the municipality. During the week of passion the Calvary of Vilaflor remembers the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, in the chapel is where the blessing of the palms that accompany the procession to the image takes place of Christ every Palm Sunday, a procession that runs through Vilaflor until it arrives in the parish.

Calvary also plays a leading role on the other days, Friday Santos, at dawn the procession of the meeting takes place, from Calvary, the Christ on the Cross starts with the Virgen de Dolores and San Juan. This place has been known since 1620 but the chapel was built in 1915.
