Iglesia Parroquial de San Francisco

The Church of San Francisco is a religious temple that is located in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. In its origins it was a Franciscan convent and is considered the second most important parish in the capital of Tenerife after the Parroquia Matriz de la Concepción. The Church of San Francisco is one of the best examples of Baroque architecture found in the Canarian archipelago and highlights the collection of sacred art that is inside.

In the temple you can find the image of the Lord of the tribulations that is venerated under the title of Lord of the Holy Cross.

Inside the facilities you can find the chapel with the image of the Immaculate Conception from Andalucía, the chapel of the Virgen del Retiro, the Lord of the Tribulations. Note the altarpieces of the Virgen de la Consolación, San Jose, San Buenaventura, San Antonio de Padua, Altarpiece of the Porziuncola, the one of Santo Hermano Pedro or the altar of Animas.
