Montaña del Azufre

The Sulfur Mountain Natural Monument is located in the municipality of Villa de Mazo, is an old volcano located on the coast of the municipality. The Mountain of Sulfur stands out as a differentiated and differentiated element of the landscape, especially for the colorful colors it has, tones ranging from yellow, to reds, oranges, grays and even blacks. It has an approximate altitude of 275 above sea level and is crowned by a niche.

The Sulfur Mountain stands out because it has a great geomorphological interest and it is also very interesting the presence of the historical lavas of the San Juan volcano.

There are also ceramic archaeological remains in the area, according to experts these remains correspond to the first settlers who came to La Palma. There is also an interesting variety of flora such as higuerillas, arreboles, verodes, vinagreras, cornicales, incenses among others.
