Cesar Manrique was a Canarian painter, sculptor and artist who was born in Arrecife. He combined his work with the defense of the environmental values of the Canary Islands. His interventions are in perfect harmony between art and nature as a creative space. He was distinguished with the World Prize for Ecology and Tourism and the Europe Prize. The Atlantic leaves frequent lagoons in the Canarian coast forming authentic natural pools, ideal to bathe in calm waters next to a generally rough sea. These are the main natural pools that are scattered around the Canary Islands.
