1. Tubo Volcánico de Todoque / Cueva de Las Palomas

The Llanos de Aridane offers places of great tourist interest, among which one of the most interesting is the Volcanic Pipe Monument Cave of Las Palomas, located in between the neighborhoods of Las Manchas and Todoque of the locality.

The caves of the pigeons were formed by the volcanic eruptions that took place in the area in 1949, eruptions that arose from the Volcán de San Juan. The cavity that has been formed and which is called Cueva de Las Palomas has about ten mouths that give natural light along the route, some of these entrances were old fumaroles. The cave is about 560 meters long and about 3 meters wide.

The tubes also a continuity that receives the name of Cueva de Todoque and that connects underground with the rest of the tube, the part of Todoque has a length of about 155 meters and has another access entry.

Its importance has made it classified as a natural place of national interest since 1987 and re classified in 1994 as Canari Natural Area a, the whole area is an area of ecological sensitivity.
