Guardilama is the name given to one of the best-known mountains on the island of Lanzarote, located in the municipality of Tías and Yaiza very close to the hamlet of La Asomada. In the Mountain of Guardilama is also the caldera of the same name, with a small fountain and a ravine.
Guardilama is a crater that is estimated to be more than 1000 years old, walls covered with volcanic sand are curious, have small crevices where vines, vegetables are planted and cereals, a very picturesque form of cultivation but of great importance thanks to the fertility of the earth.
The mountain of Guardilama reaches an altitude of 604 meters and is in the unique frame of the Protected Landscape of the Geria, fans of hiking can climb up to the summit through the network of paths that pass through the area.
Guardilama is the main one of a line of 6 mountains through which you can make different routes, in this line you can find Gaida, Tinasoria, Mojón, Casa y Majada
