On the main road that joins Tamaimo with Puerto de Santiago you will find the Archipenque Viewpoint, one of the most spectacular of this part from the island of Tenerife. The viewpoint belongs to the Insular Network of Viewpoints and from it you can have one of the most spectacular views of the impressive Cliffs of the Giants. The view offered by this point of Santiago del Teide also allows you to have a nice view of the Los Gigantes marina and see the nearby island of La Gomera in the distance.

In Santiago del Teide you will find the Church of San Fernando Rey, close to the well-known Casa del Patio. The church is the most outstanding religious building of this municipality located in the southern part of Tenerife.

The Church of San Fernando Rey was sent to build in the year 1679 by don Fernando del Hoyo Solorzano who was then the Lord of the Valley. It should be noted that inside you can find religious images of great value and dating from the eighteenth century, another element that characterizes this temple is the dome of half orange.

The church of San Fernando is a single-nave construction, with a rectangular plan, with a whitewashed facade and the bell tower is on the left. Standing in front of the church, in the square, you could see a beautiful balcony made of wood, a clear example of typical Canarian architecture.
