Los Llanos de Aridane

The Playa de las Monjas is located in the municipality of Llanos de Aridane, is a small cove that has a length of 150 meters long and about 30 meters wide, it has an average occupation during the months of greatest activity. With dark sand and a moderate swell, naturalism is allowed, which makes it different from other beaches in the area. The Playa de las Monjas is one kilometer and a half from the Puerto de Naos, towards the Rowing, it is located in a bay that must be accessed on foot. The Llanos de Aridane offers places of great tourist interest, among which one of the most interesting is the Volcanic Pipe Monument Cave of Las Palomas, located in between the neighborhoods of Las Manchas and Todoque of the locality. The caves of the pigeons were formed by the volcanic eruptions that took place in the area in 1949, eruptions that arose from the Volcán de San Juan. The cavity that has been formed and which is called Cueva de Las Palomas has about ten mouths that give natural light along the route, some of these entrances were old fumaroles. The cave is about 560 meters long and about 3 meters wide.
