About Jardín Botánico
The Botanical Garden, or Garden of Acclimatization of La Orotava, is located in the neighborhood of La Paz in Puerto de la Cruz. It was created in the year 1788 by order of King Carlos III in order to cultivate plant species that came from tropical areas. Since then, it has housed plants from all continents in an area of more than 20,000 m2.
In 1994 it was declared as an Asset of Cultural Interest.
