3. Cueva del Hielo
Caves

Volcanic eruptions often cause incredible formations, thanks to which there is the Ice Cave in the Cañadas of the Teide in the middle Teide National Park The insulating character of the volcanic tubes causes ice to be conserved inside when the area is hit by a storm and months after it causes water to remain in the solid state, the rainwater that filters through the cracks the winter freezes and that months later it still remains frozen.

The Ice Cave is located at an altitude of 3,300 meters and has a dimension of about 50 meters in length, having one of the highest sources of the National Park strong>. It is curious to note that the cave has water throughout the year and that it is kept frozen thanks to the isolation of the materials.

This cave was known for centuries and from there the ice that was consumed in the past was removed and it was a luxury item. With beasts and with some long stairs they acceded to the interior of the cave and removed blocks of ice that were taken to the Puerto de la Cruz. It is situated near the Altavista Refuge.

4. Mirador El Emigrante

The population of the Canary Islands have had times of much emigration, due to the lack of opportunities of yesteryear in the archipelago. In Garachico, a monument was built in honor of those people who left the island in search of better opportunities or with the intention of leaving to go back and start their own businesses. In 1990 the call was inaugurated as Mirador el Emigrante to honor the people who left the island with the intention of having a better job and better future prospects. The initiative comes from the Chicharros Mensajeros association.

The Mirador El Emigrante is located in the Risco Partido, within the municipality of Garachico and there is a monument in it created by the artist Fernando Ramos, is a human figure made of bronze about two meters high that is on a stone base, also about 2 meters and with a tombstone that refers to the emigration.

From the viewpoint you can see an overview of the population, and it is possible to clearly see the two lava languages of the eruption of the Black Sand in 1706.

5. Lago Martiánez

The Lago Martiánez is an aquatic complex located in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife) in the area of Martiánez, which is composed of different pools and a large central artificial lake. 6. Edificio de Mesa Mota
The Mesa Mota building has been abandoned for more than 10 years and is located in San Cristóbal de La Laguna and is owned by the municipality. Mesa Mota is located near the recreational area of the same name and from it you can have an amazing view of La Vega from La Laguna.

As often happens with this type of abandoned property, it was built without knowing exactly what it was going to be used for although it was rumored that it would be destined for the creation of a research institute on diversity in the Macaronesia. Other uses to which we wanted to allocate Mesa Mota was a residence for athletes or a congress center of the University of La Laguna. None of these projects were carried out and nowadays it is an abandoned place and mercenary of vandals.

7. Montaña Roja

In the southern part of the island, in Granadilla de Abona there is a natural coastal area called Reserva Especial Especial de Montaña Roja. This unique space is perfectly recognizable, in an area of steep little coast and dominated by a flat land you can see an impressive red hill. 166 hectares of inorganic sands and wetlands where you can see some protected birds, such as the black-footed plover but also others such as the curlew, sandpiper, or redshank and many more. There is also a fairly rich invertebrate fauna, many of them endemic.

The volcano of the red mountain has an altitude of 171 meters and was formed after an eruption on the coast that was joined to the island by a series of volcanic materials.

8. Yacimiento Arqueológico La Guancha, El Agujero y Bocabarranco

In Gáldar there is a set of 3 archaeological sites that have the names of La Guancha, El Agujero and Bocabarranco.

The La Guancha deposit is a set of 6 aboriginal houses, some tumular constructions and a reciento with a kind of tier that is believed to be the old palace of justice, although It is not entirely clear. This archaeological zone is currently delimited.

Finally there is the Bocabarranco deposit, in this part there are several houses of the ancient Canarian ones, also they have been discovered structures of great walls, after several studies it has arrived to the conclusion that these constructions date from the seventh century. This site closer to the sea also offers structures still buried near the cliff and some outcrop of walls in it. In the studies that have been carried out, pieces of wood have been found that were used as tools for the construction of the structures.

It is one of the most recognized sites in the archipelago, the most interesting is that there is much more to dig.

9. Faro de Maspalomas

The Maspalomas Lighthouse is one of the best-known elements of the southern landscape of Gran Canaria. It excels over the buildings of the area and the palm grove that is around it.

The Maspalomas Lighthouse was built by the engineer Juan León y Castillo, has two different parts, one the lighthouse tower itself, while the other On the other side we have the house of the bullfighter. The property has a rectangular floor plan and is inspired by Canarian courtyards.

The environment of the lighthouse is also a very prominent place, the building is situated at the end of the well-known beach of Maspalomas, very close to the dune, puddle and oasis field of the same name. 10. Ermita de Nuestra Señora de las Angustias

The goatherd was to kill him because it was untenable for the lizard to eat a piece of cattle every day, during the fight to kill him the goatherd was about to be devoured and entrusted to the Virgen de las Angustias, finally he was able to finish with the lizard and thanks to the Virgin he took it to the altar as an offering. Although this is the legend, there is another version, and that is that the Captain Torres ended with an alligator in Mexico in the year 1771 that was dissected and brought from America.
