Haría

Haría is a municipality that lies to the north of Lanzarote, in the greenest part of the island, located in a territory where the presence of aboriginal settlements abounds. Although mountainous and quite abrupt, thanks to its microclimate and the humidity of its environment, Haría is also known as the Valley of Mil Palmeras for its tropical flora and its exuberant nature.

These characteristics make the municipality have up to 30% of its territory considered as Natural Area. Account the municipality of Haría with two of the most important tourist attractions of the island of Lanzarote: the Jameos del Agua and the Cueva de los Verdes , which are but two parts of the large volcanic tube that descends from the interior of the municipality. Being also in the northern part of the island, it has some magnificent panoramic views of the Ocean that opens up before it as well as the nearby island of La Graciosa, which can be see perfectly from the Mirador del Río.
