The beaches that can be found in Lanzarote are backwater of tranquility and peace, in the municipality of Tías we can enjoy a charming place that is the beach Pila de la Barrilla or also known as Playa Chica. Guardilama is the name given to one of the best-known mountains on the island of Lanzarote, located in the municipality of Tías and Yaiza very close to the hamlet of La Asomada. In the Mountain of Guardilama is also the caldera of the same name, with a small fountain and a ravine. Guardilama is a crater that is estimated to be more than 1000 years old, walls covered with volcanic sand are curious, have small crevices where vines, vegetables are planted and cereals, a very picturesque form of cultivation but of great importance thanks to the fertility of the earth. The mountain of Guardilama reaches an altitude of 604 meters and is in the unique frame of the Protected Landscape of the Geria, fans of hiking can climb up to the summit through the network of paths that pass through the area. Guardilama is the main one of a line of 6 mountains through which you can make different routes, in this line you can find Gaida, Tinasoria, Mojón, Casa y Majada Highlights the black sands of soil with the greenness of the vines that are sown in the area. From the top you can enjoy stunning views of the southern part of Lanzarote.

The Nobel Prize for Literature, Portuguese José Saramago, spent the last stage of his life in Lanzarote. Saramago created a great link with the island, some of his most important novels, such as Essay on Blindness he wrote there. To commemorate the famous writer, the house in which he lived until he died has become a museum where it is possible to know more in depth the Portuguese author. The house was built as a result of the need of the Saramago-Del Río and Pérez-Figares-Del Río families, they were not only accomplices in the project but also in life. The house has become a museum and lovers of the Portuguese writer have the opportunity to know much more about it, you can access the personal library of Saramago and know every corner of the house in which he spent the last 18 years and defined himself as " A House Made of Books". It is worth noting the house, in addition to the library, the lounge that leads to a garden that was the resting place of the author, you can also enter the bedroom, see the galleries with paintings by artists such as Miquel Ramirez.

The Playa de los Pocillos in Puerto del Carmen in the municipality of Tias is one of the most interesting beaches in Lanzarote. The first thing that stands out is the long stretch of golden sand that is covered when the tide rises or falls, but the curious thing is that it is covered by a thin layer of salt water that gives rise to the curious marshes of the Puerto del Carmen. Especially should be seen in the first weeks of September when the phenomenon of the tides of the pine, which floods the Playa de los Pocillos giving rise to these marshes. It is a well-known beach for lovers of windsurfing where fans of this sport come to take advantage of the winds that sometimes dominate the beach. El premio Nobel de Literatura, el portugués José Saramago, pasó la última etapa de su vida en Lanzarote. Saramago creó una gran vínculo con la isla, algunas de sus novelas más importante, como Ensayo Sobre la Ceguera las escribió allí. Para conmemorar al afamado escritor, la casa en la que estuvo viviendo hasta que falleció se ha convertido en un museo donde es posible conocer más en profundidad al autor portugués.La vivienda se construyó a raíz de la necesidad de las familias Saramago-Del Río y Pérez-Figares-Del Río, no fueron sólo cómplices en el proyecto sino que también en la vida.La casa ha pasado a ser Museo y los amantes del escritor portugués tienen la oportunidad de conocer mucho más sobre él, se puede acceder a la biblioteca personal de Saramago y conocer hasta el último rincón de la casa en la que paso los últimos 18 años y a la que él mismo definía como “Una Casa Hecha de Libros”.Cabe destacar de la casa, además de la biblioteca, el salón que sale hacia un jardín que era el lugar de descanso del autor, se puede entrar también al dormitorio, ver las galerías de con cuadros de artistas como Miquel Ramirez.  

La Bodega Vulcano de Lanzarote nació en 2009 con la idea de producir pequeñas cantidades de vinos jóvenes de gran calidad. Se encuentra en Tías, Lanzarote, en la calle Víctor Fernández Gopar nº 8.
