In the old town of Municipality of Tegueste you can find some of the most emblematic buildings of the town, you can see the well-known house of Prebendado Antonio Pereira Pacheco but at the same time, in the square of San Marcos is the Church of San Marcos Evangelista. The construction of the temple lasted for years and the works added new elements and restored those damaged by the passage of time.
The Church of San Marcos Evangelista is one of the neurological points of Tegueste, the square in which it is located hosts many celebrations, besides being a Very busy meeting place.

The church moved to this place from the part of El Llano or Plaza de la Arañita, where the temple was originally erected at the beginning of the 16th century. The first stone was laid at the beginning of 1700, the sale of wood and the contributions of old people helped its construction.
The Mudejar romantic style predominates, at present it has three nave and a tower, bell tower and covers with stonework. Inside you have the images of Virgen del Rosario, Virgen de los Dolores, San Andres, San Lorenzo, Santa Rita de Casia and San Jose.
One of the places that is part of the history of the municipality of Tegueste is the home of Prebendado Antonio Pereira Pacheco y Ruiz, in principle it was the home of the priest who it gives name to him, later already in 1849 the house happened to be the dependencies of the first public school that there was in the municipality of Tegueste.
The contribution to the town of Prebendado Pacheco was remarkable, not only participated in the creation of the first school of Tegueste but also helped to create the house consistorial and promoted the construction of the cemetery of the municipality. Today the property is being used as an exhibition hall.
The Casa del Prebendado is a rectangular nave with a hipped roof, with an interesting patio and an orchard area at the back of it. On the facade you can see eight spans symmetrically distributed, with guillotine windows and quarter doors.

The steep and rugged coastline of the island can be seen in its maximum splendor, it can be seen that there are remains of an old elevator dating from the mid-twentieth century that was used to extract sand from the beach, although it was not used much, some of the machinery is still preserved.

The Church of San Pedro Apóstol de El Sauzal is one of the monuments that the inhabitants of this northern town of Tenerife feel most proud of. The beginning of the construction of the church of San Pedro Apóstol began in the 16th century, concretely in 1515, although the works that gave it the appearance it currently presents are of the XVIII and XIX centuries.
The Church of San Pedro Apóstol was the fourth that was built on the island and was Declared an Asset of Interest Cultural in the year 2005 and is dedicated to the patron of the municipality.
The tower of the church dates from the 18th century and has a quadrangular plan with black stone corners. Among the elements that can be seen inside it is worth mentioning its painting of souls, of which the author is not known, but which dates from the 18th century and is on the right side of the chapel. We must also mention the altarpieces and paintings of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
The chapel of the epistle of the church is also one of those prominent places where you can see the image of Saint Peter the Apostle whose festival is celebrated at the end of June.
