La Matanza is a municipality that is located in the northern part of the island of Tenerife, between El Sauzal strong> and La Victoria, in the Comarca del Acentejo. It is a historical town that precisely owes its name to the battle that in the fifteenth century there was in the area between the Castilian troops and the Guanches, in which the first massacred the Indians.
It is not a municipality especially tourist, although it is highly recommended to see its coastline, within what is the beautiful Costa del Acentejo or approach the interior, to the zone of La Vica, where there is a magnificent viewpoint.
