One of the most emblematic buildings of Fuerteventura, is the Faro de la Entallada, one of the largest and best preserved of those that can be visited on the island. . According to studies it is estimated that the protected area of Malpaís Grande was formed about 100,000 years ago after the eruption of two volcanoes in the Valle Central Majonero. From this arose both the Caldera de La Laguna and Liria, two volcanoes that have arrived practically intact until a few decades ago. For some decades, the hand of man has made almost the boiler of Liria is missing, there is still part of the boiler of La Laguna. Currently it has dimensions of about 300 meters in height and represents one of the most beautiful exponents of the recent volcanism of Fuerteventura. Like many other religious centers on the island of Fuerteventura the Iglesia de San Miguel Arcángel of Tuineje built under the initiative of the villagers. This work begins in 1695 as a hermitage and a year later the bishop don Bernardo de Vicuña y Zuazo signed the decree authorizing the construction of the church. The work lasted several years and was finally completed in 1702 when it was opened to worship. In its beginnings the church had a single nave, consisted of a sacristy and was surrounded by a crenellated wall, although it lacked a main chapel. A place that can be reached by doing one of the multiple hiking routes that are in the area is the Mountain or Round Rodeo. They are zones of little vegetation where it is possible to find some sweet taibas, also they appear verodales in the highest zones. With respect to the fauna, birds that nest in nearby areas predominate, such as the Egyptian vulture or guirres which is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic birds of Fuerteventura. The San Marcos Evangelista hermitage is located in Tiscamanita in the town of Tuinaje in Isla de Fueteventura As they happened with other religious constructions of the island, this one began under initiative of the own neighbors who demanded a place to realize their prayers. One of the most interesting places in Tuineje is the Interpretation Center of Los Molinos de Tiscamanita. The Interpretation Center was inaugurated in 1997, is located in a traditional dwelling and covers the whole gofio production process through several centuries of history. The facilities also have a perfectly preserved tahona that is still in operation today and where you can see how the grain is ground into powder. The mill has a large number of panels where information is given to visitors of the entire process and at the end of the tour it is possible to taste traditional sweets made from ground gofio, oil and sugar. Ubicada en la costa del municipio de Tuineje, la playa de Tarajalejo es una larga playa de casi 1.400 metros de longitud y 45 de anchura, de arena oscura aunque fina y con zonas de grava. Cuenta con una buena oferta de servicios: restaurantes, tiendas y algún hotel.
