Icod de los Vinos


Icod de los Vinos is the city where the famous Millenary Drago is found, symbol of Tenerife and National Monument strong> since 1917. Although the old part of Icod has been declared Asset of Cultural Interest because of its historical importance on the islands, the municipality is also known for its wine production (hence its name). 2

In the urban center of Icod you have to go to the Plaza Andrés de Lorenzo Cáceres, a tourist center where you can find not only the Church of San Marcos Evangelista but also, adjacent, the Drago Park, where the Millenary Drago is mentioned. Outside the city, it is advisable to visit the Cueva del Vient or, the longest of Europa of volcanic type, and the third largest in the world. For lovers of sunbathing, on the icodense coast is the appreciated San Marcos Beach.
