Salinas de Fuencaliente
In the southern part of the island of La Palma and declared a site of scientific interest as a resting place for many migratory birds, there is the Salinas de Fuentecaliente. One of the points of reference of the island and that greater visits it receives due to the contrasts that can be observed in this point, the black sand, the white salt and the blue of the sea enhance the beauty of the salinas. It has a size of 7 hectares, since 1987 it has been included within the Natural Park of Cumbre Vieja and Teneguia and at the same time within the Natural Monument of Los Volcanes de Teneguía. We must also highlight the flora found in the environment, for example sea lettuce, white salty, niagrera, the simpreviva of the sea, marine thyme or even the cabezón and cerraja. In the surroundings you can also see the lighthouse and the coquettish beach of La Zamora.

Viejo Faro de Fuencaliente
The Old Fuencaliente Lighthouse is located at the southern tip of the island of La Palma, in the municipality of Fuencaliente Natural Park of Cumbre Vieja and very close to this old lighthouse is another one of new construction and the famous Salinas de Fuencaliente, the beaches of the Faro de Fuencaliente strong> the one from Echentive and the old Santa Source. The Old Fuencaliente Lighthouse was built at the beginning of the 20th century and due to volcanic eruptions that took place in the area in the 70s. Nuevo Faro de Fuencaliente
The New Fuencaliente Lighthouse is next to the old one, which was destroyed after the eruption of a volcano. The Teneguía is a volcano located on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands, Spain) with an altitude of 439 meters above sea level. Its name comes from a nearby rock that contains auarite petroglyphs whose name would derive from Tiniguiga (te-n-egiga) 'one of steam (hot) or smoke' in ínsuloamazigh.

Roque Teneguia
In the southern part of the island of La Palma the Roque Teneguía is located, on the southwestern slope of the San Antonio volcano belongs to the municipality of Fuencaliente. The Roque de Teneguía has a height of 400 meters above sea level and is known as one of the most important geological formations of the municipality. One of the most important elements that has the Roque de Teneguía are the Auarite rock engravings that is located in the area. These vestiges give a good account of the interesting history that surrounds not only the Fuencaliente area, but the entire island of La Palma. It can also observe petroglyphs, (symbolic designs that have been engraved on the surface layer of the rock) spiral or labyrinth and serpentine lines that some experts attribute to the action of water. In addition to this prehistoric element, the Roque de Teneguía is also interesting and has a certain botanical importance, here the Cabezuela or Cetaurea Junonia. El Roque is a very old phonolite structure about 600,000 years old and has a characteristic pale yellow color. It is curious that you can see remains of the last eruption that took place in 1971.

The municipality of Fuencaliente has a population center called Los Canarios, is about 700 meters above sea level and is a basin that is flanked by volcanic cones and covered with pine forests. In this area of Fuencaliente you will find the San Antonio natural area that houses the volcano of the same name and the Volcano Interpretation Center San Antonio. In this part you can enjoy a walk around the huge crater of the San Antonio volcano and it is possible to ascend to the top and have an amazing view of all the volcanoes. In the natural environment of San Antonio it is possible to also access the Interpretation Center of the San Antonio Volcano, where it is possible to know in depth all the history of the Volcán de San Antonio It has a projection room, a seismograph, an exhibition of interpretive panels with diagrams and aerial photos of the island.

Playa de la Zamora Chica
In Fuencaliente you will find the Playa de la Zamora Chica, it is one of the best-known beaches in the area and therefore one of the most popular in the municipality. The beach is sheltered by a small cliff and also under the protection of a set of marine rocks. It has a small extension of black sand about 150 meters long and 15 meters wide and its waters are crystal clear and clean. Despite the popularity of the beach it is not usually a crowded place so it is perfect to enjoy a quiet day at the beach. The Playa de la Zamora Chica is also a place for lovers of surfing and diving. When being in the low part of a cliff it is due to accede through catwalks available for it.

Playa del Faro
In the south of the island of La Palma there is the Cumbre Vieja Natural Park, which has both the old and the new lighthouses as places of interest, as well as the saltworks of Fuencaliente and the Playa de El Faro.
