Parque Nacional de Timanfaya

Charco de los Clicos
The Charco de los Clicos is one of the most picturesque places that can be found in Lanzarote, also known by the name of Charco Verde for its striking color, it is located in the Volcanoes Natural Park in the middle of Timanfaya National Park, in the town of El Golfo is within the municipality of Yaiza. Salinas de Janubio
Located in one of the most important municipalities of Yaiza in Lanzarote we can find Salinas de Janubio. These salt mines are the most extensive on the island and were declared a protected natural area and considered a site of scientific interest by the Government of the Canary Islands. Playa de Papagayo
The beaches of Lanzarote are undoubtedly one of the most important attractions of the island, among the most outstanding is the well-known Playa del Papagayo, in the municipality of Yaiza. Museo de Cetáceos (Cerrado)
In Puerto Calero, in the town of Yaiza in Lanzarote is located the Cetceos Museum. The objective of this place is to promote the conservation and information of the natural heritage of the marine depths of the Canary archipelago. In Spain, the Cetceos Museum is a pioneer, it is the first museum in this area, dedicated exclusively to cetaceans. The protagonists throughout the museum are the species that inhabit the deep sea of the Canary Islands. The museum is divided into four perfectly different rooms that are dedicated to different collections, you can also see an audiovisual room on the premises, with a specialized shop. The first of the rooms is dedicated especially to marine mammals and their evolution. In the second of the rooms it offers information about life on the seabed, continuing with the third of the rooms of the Museum of the Cetceos reviews the 27 species that researchers have found in the Canarian bottoms. Faro de Pechiguera
An interesting and picturesque place is the lighthouse of Punta Pechiguera, a lighthouse that is located in the municipality of Yaiza, in the southern part of the island Lanzarote and which serves as a guide for boats passing through the strait of La Bocayna, which is a maritime passage that separates the islands from Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. The characteristics of the Faro Pechiguera have the following characteristics: it is of 4º order of fixed white light, it was inaugurated in 1866. It is a building of rectangular plant and is divided in three parts by On one side we find the house of the lighthouse keepers, on the other hand we have the tower and finally the lighthouse has the store. With regard to the exterior of the building, it has arched windows framed in stonework, and also highlights the ashlar ornaments finished on the cornice of the lighthouse. A lantern raised about 15.6 meters above sea level and 9.5 from its point where it is anchored in the rock. The old lighthouse was declared Good of Cultural Interest (BIC) by the Government of the Canary Islands on December 20, 2002.

Castillo las Coloradas
Located in Lanzarote, in the town of Yaiza, there is Castillo de las Coloradas, also known as Torre del Águila, receives the name of Las Coloradas because close to it is the beach of the same name. This fortification dates from 1741 and is one of the most representative examples of military architecture in the Canary archipelago. The objective of the construction of this structure was to defend against attacks by pirates that the island suffered at the time. The Castle of the Coloradas had to be reformed in 1769 when it was totally destroyed after a fire provoked by Algerian troops. The fortress has a circular shape, and was raised on the ruins of an ancient tower called Rubicon Tower, it can be accessed through a drawbridge and was built with stone of stonework, wood of tea and lime. The Tower belonged to the army until 1936, after ceasing to be used as a military fortress it was handed over to the Ministry of Finance and in 1978 the property became the City Council of Yaiza. The town hall was in charge of restoring it, becoming today one of the points of interest of the picturesque coastal path that runs along the south coast of Lanzarote.

Los Hervideros
Los Hervidores is a natural area that is located on the coast of Yaiza in Lanzarote. This natural coastal area are caves that are lashed by the force of the sea and that makes it an impressive postcard of Yaiza. The Hervideros are some cliffs that are inside the Timanfaya National Park, with the rough sea they are flogged in a virulent way, being a show that is not I could go unnoticed. The Hervideros are the result of the cooling of the lava that arose in some of the eruptions that took place in this part of Lanzarote. The name of Los Hervideros receives this name because when the water hits violently it sneaks through the holes and jumps looking like the water is boiling. This natural area located in the Timanfaya Park, goes from Salinas de Janubia to El Golfo.
